Stampin’ Up! Graceful Garden with a twist.

Hello!

Today I want to show you that just because you’re using a floral stamp it doesn’t mean you can’t give a contemporary twist. Don’t get me wrong, I love soft and feminine cards but there’s a place for all styles in my opinion.

I stamped the rose in versamark ink and embossed it black. The black cord is also shiny like the embossed image and is a little less ‘flouncy’ than ribbon in keeping with the contemporary feel. I found the easiest way to attach the cord was with a glue dot.

Do you like the contemporary look or do you prefer your florals more traditional?

Card measurements:

Daffodil Delight cut on the short side at 10.5cm and scored on the long side at 14.9cm.

Basic Black layer 9.5×13.5cm

Daffodil Delight layer 8.5×12.5

The sentiment is also embossed and popped up using mini dimensionals.
