Stampin’ Up! A Good Man and more!

A good man stampin' up!

Today is the last in the series of the A Good Man stamp set. This last one, I must confess, has me sneaking in a couple more stamp sets though!

I just had a bit of a vision with the image of the child on Dad’s shoulders. For me, it marries well with the Cross of Hope stamp set as it makes me think of our Heavenly Father.

Perhaps you are not religious but I bet sometimes you wish you could be a child again, with a grown up carrying you as you face a ‘mountain’.

A Good Man Stampin' Up!

There are a few techniques in this card but all of them are easy to master.

To start stamp the main image in smoky slate and then the mountains in the same colour.

And the next step is to mask the Dad & Child image which means stamping the same image onto a sticky note and cutting it out. Then stick it over the image on the card and add the grass, trees and gravel.

When you peel the mask off your image will be as you left it. Then you colour the Dad & Child in with watercolor pencils. I used a blender pen with a light touch.

The sky and sun were sponged with Balmy Blue and So Saffron ink.

Blended Seasons from Stampin’ Up! – Christmas in July

It seems to be a ‘thing’ now to post Christmas in July projects and if you can’t beat ’em join ’em! It is fun after all but it has been so HOT!! It was strange to be making Christmas crafts.

My project today is showcasing the Blended Seasons bundle and it really is versatile. With this Limited time bundle you really can grab it at any time of year for so many occasions.

Blended Seasons

With great stamps, dies and a BRAND NEW selection of Watercolor Pencils there’s so much to love!

Blended Seasons

With simple but elegant design you could give everyone on your Christmas Card List a beautiful card this year. Plus, if you start in August you’ll get that fab feeling that you’ve finished making your Christmas cards early 🙂

I used a Thick Whisper White standard card blank size and die cut the front.

Look how the die also adds the stitched detail to the outside, gorgeous!

The image was stamped in Memento Black ink and coloured in with the new pencils, and I softened the lines with a blender pen. I added a little Wink of Stella too.

The sentiment was stamped in Garden Green

Once you’ve completed those steps, add your label to the Under The Mistletoe Designer Series Paper layer using dimensionals. Use the same DSP for the cute bow on the front.

FYI! Under The Mistletoe DSP is included in the buy 3 get 1 free offer ending 31 July!
