Wreath Technique using the Stampin’ Up! Stamparatus

Hello!

Today’s project is using my new crafty BFF. The Stamparatus is the perfect tool for every rubber stamping fan.

I teamed Swirly Bird and Tabs for Everything stamp sets to create a fun and fresh card with the wreath technique. The colours together just make me smile ( Poppy Parade, Mint Macaron and Sahara Sand) and I hope they make you smile too.

Create your own background with Abstract Impressions

Hello!

The stamp set that seems to be permanently in my hand in my hand at the moment is Abstract Impressions. It also has the most beautiful die set and Designer series paper so there is tons of scope for creativity. Today I want to show you what you can do with just the stamp set, ink and paper. Oh and some punches too! That is, after all, what Stampin’ Up! is all about. 🙂

We are SPOILT with so many beautiful colours to choose from in the Stampin’ Up! range and whilst I went soft and feminine with Soft Sea Foam and Flirty Flamingo you could just as easily make it bright and funky or even play around with the black, greys and white.

Abstract Impressions

There’s some simple masking involved with this card but don’t worry, there’s a video a bit further down and it’s super easy.

 Card measurements

Cut thick whisper A4 on the short side at 10.5cm, score at 14.9cm

Whisper white 10 x 14.4 – you’ll need two, one for the front and one for the insert

Soft Sea Foam 8.2cm x 8.2cm (3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″)

Hinge Step Technique with the Stamparatus

Hello!

It is a BEAUTIFUL weekend here in England – we have seen soaring temperatures and blue skies.

With a three day weekend my Monday morning started like this…

If only all Monday’s started so slowly!

Of course there is always time for some crafting and I used my favourite new tool, the Stamparatus. It’s a very clever stamp positioning tool that will not only help you with those annoying snags like missing a bit of your stamped image off, not having your stamping straight or wanting to make multiples quickly. It’s also great for some really cool techniques.

The Hinge Step that I’m sharing with you today is a pretty basic one but it gives a great result!

Straight, perfectly lined up repeated patterns give your cards a great, professional finish.

The products I used are a mixed bag of retiring, last chance products and some launching 1 June.

The retiring items are:

Tutti-Frutti Classic ink spots (I used Real Red and Lemon Lime Twist)

Tutti-Frutti DSP

These are available until 31 May or while stocks last

Available 1 June

Stamparatus

Birthday Backgrounds Stamp set ( I used the candles stamp)

Pineapple Punch Blends, light. ( I used this to colour the ‘flame’ and finished them with Wink of Stella)

Card measurements

Lemon Lime twist Card -A4 cut in half on the short side at 10.5cm

Tutti-Frutti DSP – 10.5×14.9cm

Real Red card – 9.5×13.9xm

Whisper White – 9×13.4cm
