Stampin’ Up! A Good Man and more!

A good man stampin' up!

Hello!

Today is the last in the series of the A Good Man stamp set. This last one, I must confess, has me sneaking in a couple more stamp sets though!

I just had a bit of a vision with the image of the child on Dad’s shoulders. For me, it marries well with the Cross of Hope stamp set as it makes me think of our Heavenly Father.

Perhaps you are not religious but I bet sometimes you wish you could be a child again, with a grown up carrying you as you face a ‘mountain’.

A Good Man Stampin' Up!

There are a few techniques in this card but all of them are easy to master. To start stamp the main image in smoky slate and then the mountains in the same colour.

And the next step is to mask the Dad & Child image which means stamping the same image onto a sticky note and cutting it out. Then stick it over the image on the card and add the grass, trees and gravel.

When you peel the mask off your image will be as you left it. Then you colour the Dad & Child in with watercolor pencils. I used a blender pen with a light touch.

The sky and sun were sponged with Balmy Blue and So Saffron ink.

Stampin’ Up! A Good Man card for Father’s Day

Hello!

I have a new card for you today, the third using my stamp set of the month, A good man.

The card I’m sharing is actually the card I gave my Dad for Father’s Day. It’s been a crazy week with Father’s day, My Dad’s birthday, a Friend’s 50th birthday and my Son’s 18th, phew! And it’s only Wednesday!

dav

You’ll notice that I have used the same image as the last project but it’s a stepped up version using die cutting and colour with Stampin’ Blends which are Stampin’ Up! alcohol markers. If you haven’t tried them yet, you must!

Stampin’ Up! A good Man // I grew up loved

A good Man - Stampin'Up!

Hello!

Welcome to my blog, I hope you’re having a great day!

The new Stampin’ Up! catalogue launches is just a few days and we’re in a new month so I thought it would be fun to start doing things a little different around here!

From now on I’ll be focusing on one stamp set/suite per month. This will give you tons of ideas to use and show you the versatility. It will stretch my creativity too, I’m not gonna lie! 🙂

As it’s June, and we’ll be celebrating Father’s Day in a couple of weeks, I’m kicking us of with:

A good Man

As you can see this stamp set has fabulous images for the men in your life and are so much fun to colour in.

Don’t worry if you’re not confident at colouring, the Stampin’ Blends make it super easy.

The new catalogue launches 4 June 2019.

One of the fun things about Stampin’ Up! events is swaps – you make a card front or 3D item in as many as you would like to get back. Then  you go home with lots of lovely new ideas.

My team also decided to take part in a WOW swap between ourselves. The idea is, that people say ‘WOW’ when they open it! No pressure then 🙂

I decided to make a never ending card featuring the Bubble Over Bundle.
