Happiest of days from Stampin’ Up! Pretty fancy fold card.

Hi everyone!

I made this pretty birthday card live on Facebook on Thursday. It’s so fun to do and uses every stamp in the Happiest of days stamp set!

The sentiments and images would lend themselves not only to birthdays but to lots of other celebrations too such as Wedding, Engagement and Bridal Showers.

The first picture shows the front of the card.

I kept the look soft with Sahara sand and coloured the images in using Watercolor pencils, no need to worry about staying in lines! The imagery is perfect for a more informal look and our blender pens work beautifully with the pencils for that. If you want to used aqua painters to change the card for shimmer, glossy or watercolour paper.

View from the top of the card showing all the internal panels.

I shared the measurements for this fancy fold on a previous post which you can see here

Close up of the panels.

I’ll be demonstrating a brand new project on Facebook Live, Thursday 1 February 8pm. You can find me here:

I’d love for you to join me for chat and crafting 🙂

Below is the list of products I used to make this card, simply click on the picture to take a closer look or to purchase.

Picnic With You – Stampin’ Up!

Hi everyone!

I’ve made no secret of the fact that I am SO ready for Spring! Weather in the UK was particularly yuk yesterday and I want more light, more sun and less cold!

While I’m waiting I created my own but of Spring with ink, stamps and paper (and a few other bits and bobs)

The Picnic with You stamp set is so cute – it even has it’s own teeny weeny salt and pepper shakers 🙂

Obviously it has lots of picnic images but today I decided to focus on the flower basket element.  I would highly recommend the bundle so that you get the dies to cut out all those cute shapes. The basket also has an embossing die which gives a great texture to your project. The magnetic platform will really help when lining up the dies with your stamped images.

Picnic with you bundle

I embossed the card base with the  Simple Stripes embossing folder it makes me think of pretty flowers against a white picket fence.

Picnic with you bundle

I embossed the envelope flap too.

Picnic with you bundle

and we mustn’t neglect the inside!

Some of the flowers were raised up with dimensionals, as was the basket.

Hearts Come Home – Picture

Hi all

I have a piece of home decor for you all today! The Hearts Come Home bundle is SO versatile for many crafting projects and I just had to make a cute little picture with it.

There’s even a die to make tags, you can see it top right on the image above. You can use the houses individually, cut them up or make an entire village!

Heart Come Home (1).png

I used an Ikea Tysslinge picture frame and it’s quite teeny! 8x9cm to be exact. As you can see I took just one house and tree, cut it 3 times in Real Red, Whisper White and Dapper Denim and paper pieced it to create a multi coloured image. Some Daffodil Delight was glued to the back to create a ‘glow’ in the windows. The tree was cut from Emerald Envy and Early Espresso with a Daffodil Delight star to top it off. The photo doesn’t show it well but I added some sparkle using Wink of Stella.

Fancy Fold with Memory & More cards

Just in case you didn’t know why Stampin’ Up! named their memory keeping system Memories & More I thought I’d illustrate it with a card! Cards are pretty much the best way to get most messages across of course 🙂

The Merry Little Christmas Memories & More pack includes:

72 Double sided cards

1 x card stock sticker sheet

1 Acetate sticker sheet

4 acetate card overlays

all for only £9.00!

We all want more bang for our buck and the coordination that Stampin’ Up! is renowned for and Memories & More is just perfect for both of those expectation. If you’re a scrapbooker you’ll do amazing layouts with them, or maybe your prefer a quick layout with the pocket system. You could even just add a pocket layout to your Love today Planner.

Those are the obvious so I wanted to think outside of the box a little.

Card recipe

Cut Old Olive card on the short side at 10.5cm (length ways)

Score at 7.5cm and 14.9cm

Stamp sentiment on Whisper White and leave to dry, archival ink has a longer dry time.

Take 2 small M&M cards and 1 large. You may need to take a couple of millimetres off the second smallest card. Trim the large card to 14.8cm x 9.9cm

Wrap ribbon around the second card, I adhered the bow separately with a glue dot.

Adhere all the cards to the base

Add wink of Stella to ornaments on big card, and number 25. Add one rhinestone to the sticker ornament.

Add rhinestones to some of the ornaments

Add  ornament  sticker to first card

If sentiment is dry punch out using 2 1/4 circle punch. Glue on and add holly sticker

I love my job! #bts

I think we are all a little guilty of not counting our blessings from time to time, right? We can get caught up in the busyness of life and not take time to appreciate all that is good.
